3. Jacob2 Marshall (Almerine1) was born in Ohio about 1822. Jacob died about 1855 in Missouri.
He married Sarah Hicks in Bound County, Illinois, January 15, 1844.(1) Sarah was born in Illinois about 1827. Sarah was the daughter of --?-- Hicks. Sarah died about 1888 in the Indian Territory.(2) Family stories say that Sarah's son-in-law, Francis Hatfield, came to the Indian Nation in the late 1880's to work for a resident Indian, working with horses on his land. In order to do this, Francis had to apply for an Intruder's Permit. Sarah and her son, John Pewitt, came with them. Sarah died there before 1890, when the family moved on to the Oklahoma Territory.

7. Almerine3 Marshall (Jacob2, Almerine1) was born in Missouri November 9, 1846.(5) Almerine died April 8, 1877 in Arkansas, at 30 years of age.(6) He may have died in Franklin County Arkansas. His body was interred in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.
He married Malinda Pierce in Howell County, Missouri, February 21, 1869.(7) Malinda was born in Alexander County, Illinois February 26, 1851.(8) The date on her death certificate by a son-in-law contradicts this date. But this date agrees with census enumerations and is given by her son. Malinda was the daughter of John Pierce and Louisa A. Jones.
Malinda died February 25, 1936 in Van Zandt County, Texas, at 84 years of age.(9) Malinda died from bronchopneumonia complicated by cardiac decompensation. Her body was interred February 26, 1936 in Smith County, Texas, at Providence Cemetery.(10) Malinda's grave is unmarked.

She married Dudley D. Hunter in Howell County, Missouri, June 25, 1872. Dudley was born in Tennessee about 1854.

9. Elizabeth3 Marshall (Jacob2, Almerine1) was born in Missouri March 7, 1850. Betsy died May 4, 1904 in Fulton County, Arkansas, at 54 years of age. Her body was interred in Salem, Fulton County, Arkansas, at Salem Cemetery.
She married Henry L. Brewington in Howell County, Missouri, February 21, 1869.(13) Henry was born in Tennessee August 1850. Henry died after 1900.

10. Rebecca Anna3 Marshall (Jacob2, Almerine1) was born in Howell County, Missouri January 31, 1853.(14) Rebecca died November 3, 1934 in Lockridge, Logan County, Oklahoma, at 81 years of age.(15)
The Cashion Independent

Rebecca Marhall was born near West Plaines, Howell County, Missouri, January 31 1852. Departed this life November 3. 1934, being at the time of her departure 82 years, nine months and two days.
She was married to F.M. Hatfield April 6, 1872. To this union was born six children: three sons and three daughters. The youngest girl passed to the Great Beyond at the age of ten years. The other children: Mrs. Lula Belveal of Guthrie, Mrs. Sarah Hammond of Cashion, Ben Hatfield and George Hatfield, Lockridge and William Hatfield of Cushing were all at her bedside during her last illness. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren to mourn her departure.
She was baptized into the Baprist faith at the early age of 15 years and continued in the faith through her life.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and neighbor. No one ever called on her for aid in vain.
She married Francis Marion Hatfield in Howell County, Missouri, April 6, 1872.(17) Francis was born in Missouri March 1847. Francis died January 15, 1935 in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma, at 87 years of age.
Francis Marion Hatfield was born in Howell County, Missouri, March 19, 1848. He was married April 6, 1872 to Rebecca Marshall. Then with his bride he moved to a farm near Ft. Smith, Arkansas, where their six children were born: Mrs. Lula Belveal, of Guthrie; Mrs. Sarah Hammond, of Cashion; Ben and George Hatfield, of Lockridge; and William Hatfield, of Cushing, and Jessie Hatfield who departed this life at the age of ten years.
With his family, Mr. Hatfield came to Oklahoma in 1889, settling on a farm three miles east of Cashion, where he resided until 1907 when he moved to southwestern Oklahoma. In 1916 they returned to Logan County and resided in Lockridge until his wife's death last November. Since that time he has resided with his two daughters, Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Belveal, at which latter place he passed away Tuesday, January 15, 1935.
Burial was in the Cashion cemetery following funeral services in the Christian church conducted by the minister, Joe L. Pope, Wednesday afternoon, January 16.
His body was interred January 16, 1935 in Cashion, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma, at Cashion Cemetery.

14. James Hardin Levi4 Marshall (Almerine3, Jacob2, Almerine1) was born in Stringtown, Arkansas May 15, 1873.(18) James died October 15, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 68 years of age.(19) He died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. His body was interred October 16, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Riverside Cemetery.(20) The interment was under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home. He is grave is space 212, Block Z.
He married twice. He married Jessie P. Thomas August 3, 1899.(21) Jessie was born in Texas January 16, 1884.(22)
He married Martha Eula Goolsby in Poletown, Van Zandt County, Texas, November 22, 1905.(23) They were married by D.D. Richardson, Minister of the Gospel. Poletown is now part of Grand Saline. Eula was born in Whitesboro, Grayson County, Texas April 1, 1891.(24) Eula was the daughter of Jeremiah Marr Goolsby and Mary Margret Turner. Eula died January 5, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 82 years of age. Her body was interred in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.

Charlie G.5 Marshall was born in Van Zandt County, Texas August 9, 1900.(25) Charlie died September 9, 1904 in Oklahoma, at 4 years of age.(26) His body was interred in Marshall County, Oklahoma, at New Isom Springs Cemetery.(27) Charlie was originally buried in Isom Springs Cemetery. This cemetery had to be relocated for the contruction of Lake Texoma in 1942. On August 11, 1942, his grave, identified as Grave No. 114, was moved to New Isom Springs Cemetery. According to correspondence between Levi Marshall and the U.S. Engineer Office, the grave is marked.

Odelia Howard. Jesse died December 8, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 54 years of age.

Jesse L. Flowers, 55, 2702 Colquitt, suffered a heart attack early Sunday morning and was dead on arrival at Wichita General Hospital.
Born Feb. 1 1903 in Ninnekah, Okla, Flowers lived in Wichita Falls since 1920. He was a guard at Panhandle Refinery and a street car motorman during the 1920's.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Hampton Vaughn Merkle Funeral Home are incomplete.
He was a member of the Faith Village Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Ruby Flowers, Wichita Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Judson, Phoenix, Az; a son, Gayland D. Flowers, W.F.; three brothers, Charlie Flowers, Quanah; Horace Flowers, Lubbock; Jim Flowers, Pleasanton; a sister, Mrs. Neoma Yancy, WF.
His body was interred Decmeber 10, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.
She married Wallace Condor Carr in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, September 5, 1972. Wallace was born September 11, 1906. Wallace was the son of Robert C. Carr and Belle B. --?--. Wallace died September 16, 1977 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 71 years of age.

Bessie Irene Marshall was born in Silver Lake Community, Van Zandt County, Texas August 30, 1908.(30) Bessie died November 23, 2000 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County,
Texas, at 92 years of age. She passed away on Thanksgiving morning. Her brother passed away about 5 hours later in California.
Her body was interred November 25, 2000 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park. She married Charlie M. Young in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, August 31, 1924.(31) They were married in Bessie's parent's home by a justice of the peace.
When Charlie got married, his father told him he was going to marry out, not in, meaning they weren't going to set up home in
his house!
Charlie was born in Jack County, Texas November 8, 1903. Charlie was the son of John Hampton Young and Lillie Jarvis. Charlie died May 25, 1992 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 88 years of age. His body was interred May 28, 1992 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.

She married Zearl Gilbreath in Grandfield, Tillman County, Oklahoma, December 28, 1931.(35) Zearl was born in Mangum, Greer County, Oklahoma April 10, 1909. Zearl was the son of Bluford Belmont Gilbreath and Abigail Gertrude Veach. Zearl died April 28, 1984 in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at 75 years of age. His body was interred in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, at Crestview Memorial Park.

Lewis Harper4 Marshall (Almerine3, Jacob2, Almerine1) was born in Franklin County, Arkansas April 8, 1875.(36) Lewis died July 4, 1940 in Van Zandt County, Texas, at 65 years of age.(37) He died from a heart attack while plowing his fields. According to a family story, his wife Fannie looked out the kitchen window and saw him collapsed in the field and told their soon Uly to go and check on him for she thought he was dead. His body was interred in Smith County, Texas, at Providence Cemetery.(38)
He married Mary Frances Williams in Van Zandt County, Texas, April 5, 1903. Luke and Fannie had 10 children. Only six survived to adulthood.
Fanny was born in Van Zandt County, Texas March 1888. Fanny died December 1944 at 56 years of age. Her body was interred in Smith County, Texas, at Providence Cemetery.(39)

- 43 vi. Margaret Ann Marshall was born October 2, 1920. Margaret died December 1, 1984 in Dallas County, Texas, at 64 years of age. Her body was interred. One family group sheet suggests she is buried in Providence Cemetery, but it is not confirmed. She married Glenn Andrew McClellan.
